SearchWorks supplies confidential, accurate research on any subject, as well as offering comprehensive information/media management services for an entire project. Research may include text and Internet research, fact checking, document and subject research, image identification, location, music research and other related activities. Materials acquisition is offered as well as screening and pre-selection services.
Image Sourcing
SearchWorks identifies, locates and acquires film clips, stock footage, still photographs, art images, computer generated graphics and other image, music and text content for use in projects through its network of top quality providers.
Fee and Permission Negotiation
SearchWorks conducts permission and fee negotiations for clients on their selected content and manages and administers required contracts for use of materials at the customer’s request. Based on SearchWorks’ business volume and supplemented by solid professional relationships, SearchWorks is able to secure more favorable fees and terms than individual applicants.

SearchWorks supplies the necessary research and clearances for scripts being prepared for production including clearance of all surnames, addresses, logos, trademarked products, etc.
Project Management
SearchWorks offers entertainment clients the opportunity to have their research and clearance needs handled by a single source including all research, acquisition of content, fee and contract negotiation, master element acquisition and delivery, contract administration and master element return. Literally, the only detail not handled by SearchWorks is the choosing of the final image, piece of music, text or lyric to use. SearchWorks handles all other licensing requirements. The recent move to accept digital signatures will ultimately make it possible to negotiate all contracts and send final legal documents entirely by email or display a signed document for review by secure server.

SearchWorks researches and provides the proper clearances & permissions for use of Intellectual Property as they relate to the needs of the entertainment industry.
TRADEMARK & COPYRIGHT
SearchWorks furnishes critical information regarding the availability of intellectual property including films, plays, books, logos and trademarks, music, video, etc. for use in all media.
Custom Reports
SearchWorks supplies clients with background reports featuring carefully culled facts on any subject including historical, social, political, cultural and religious subjects as well as book reports. This is information that will be used as the basis for any entertainment related project (e.g. feature film, play, museum installation, amusement or theme park, entertainment development etc). We will not proffer analysis. Custom Reports will, generally, include facts or background information only, or, at the request of the client, can be supported by photos, music, illustrations, etc. Additional fees will be assessed if on site library research is required.
Clearances
SearchWorks will supply all necessary clearances (defined as all required and legally authorized permission to use material from copyright owners, estates, representatives etc.) required for use of text, image and music are provided. This can include full licensing of material, copyright and trademark searches, talent, research and clearance and script clearance.
